I’ve put out a new version of drapes, 0.5.0 and i’ll call it stable. Not many changes over the last revision, updated translations, couple minor bug fixes and I updated the deb to work edgy & feisty (but not dapper).
You can fetch it via the usual channels.
Cheers, and here’s to hopping it works for everyone [...]
Really the title says it all. For a while now my friends at the school of computer science & engineering at Oakland have been struggling with this monstrosity known as the Sunray server software. So I have this draft of an blog entry sitting in my wordpress for ages… One time i distracted and never finished it. But today people were talking about printing in #linux and decided I’d share a good overall linux/windows/OSX printer with a laser beam on it’s freaking head.

So now that drapes has been out for like a couple days a couple things have happened. Number one, I got lots of support requests, people find various ways of breaking drapes that I never thought of… and I love it, keep sending me bug reports and I’ll keep fixing everything to make sure drapes [...]
So I finally got of my ass and decided to release something; after long deliberations I’ve decided that if I wait till it’s perfect… well it’ll never be out. So I present to the world Desktop Drapes 0.4.96 nicknamed “Still no Icon”.
While this version still has some kinks left in it (I’m sure), it should [...]

On a short note, drapes (from the current bzr tree) support file system watching magic. Plus it has a bunch of bug fixes.
So, go on now and rejoice.
